A large mid century modern design art glass vase designed by Frank Thrower for Dartington glass. This vase has a green colourway with a square shape and decorated with a stylised face on the front and daisy flowers on the side and the back is un-decorated. This designed is number FT16 and known as the Flower People Square Vase. It is quite rare and now difficult to find.

STATIONERY BOX – Art Nouveau Design – Brass Wood Lined – stock #62117

An attractive original art nouveau period and style stationery casket decorated designed landscape cartouches surrounded by sinuous patterns of fir cones and mistletoe. Made in brass with wood lining. Originally silver plated with some areas of silvering. Most like dating to c1905/15 and made in Germany. There is a tiny stamped mark on the underside which could be an “M”.

An early 20th century art nouveau period and style pewter twin handle bowl. Proabably a sugar bowl of small flower pot. Decorated with a moulded floral design within a sinuous pattern. Rolled over top rim and twin handles. Stamped maker mark on the underside “Orivit 2326”

Presented as bright polished pewter. Dull metal underside with tarnished interior with a hint of gold plating

Arts & Crafts Brass Fish Plaque c1900 – stock #60217

A fine and original arts and crafts brass wall plate decorated with a freize of swimming fish. Most likely dating to c1900/1910.

I have not been able to find any signatures or monorams to identify the artisan who made it. The hopeful looking fish are a typical motif associated with the artist John Pearson and followers.

Rosenthal “Pollo” Vase by Tapio Wirkkala – stock #58817

A mid century modern design Rosenthal Studio Linie porcelain vase from the “Pollo” range design by Tapio Wirkkala (1915-1985). The shape is a very stylised “chicken” and this example is the 8.5cm high version in a white bisque colour way.

Printed marks on the underside for “Rosenthal Studio Linie Germany” with a line under the M and a + in front of the G. Most likely dating to the late 1970’s.

A Scandinavian mid century modern design art glass spirit flask in clear crystal decorated with an embossed design of a geometric face. Made by the Swedish firm of Boda and marked on the underside with the pattern number “H1189” to suggest that it was designed by Erik Hoglund (1932-1998)

Excellent condition and with it’s original plated stopper and cork.

An interesting mid century modern Czech art glass vase decorated with an engraved design of buttlerflies. Made by Zelezny Brod sklo (ZBS) and most likely designed by Miloslav Klinger in the early 1970’s.

Made in changeable colour of lilac and smokey blue which changes colour depending on light. Often refered to as Neodymium / Alexandrite.

Duchess of Sutherland Cripples Guild – Stamped Mark DSCG – S/P Pedestal Bowl – stock #57717

A lovely example of an arts and crafts silver plated copper pedestal bowl hand hammered and decorated with a chased pattern of vines and grapes over a planished texture.

Stamped makers mark on the underside of DSCG below a coronet. These are the marks of the fabulously named Duchess of Sutherland Cripples’ Guild.
