Duchess of Sutherland Cripples Guild – Stamped Mark DSCG – S/P Pedestal Bowl – stock #70117

A lovely example of an arts and crafts silver plated copper pedestal bowl hand hammered and decorated with a chased pattern of vines and grapes over a planished texture.

Stamped makers mark on the underside of DSCG below a coronet. These are the marks of the fabulously named Duchess of Sutherland Cripples’ Guild.

An impressive extra large arts and crafts design copper tray decorated with a chased and tinned chequered border pattern. Not sure if this was made a decorative tray or possible a tray table top.

Stamped HW monogram for the artist metalworker; Hugh Wallis (1871-1943) who was based in Altrincham in Cheshire.

DOULTON LAMBETH – Stoneware TEAPOT with Silver Rim c1899 – stock #67817

A delightful small original late Victorian Doulton Lambeth stoneware teapot decorated with a tubelined design of blue flowers with brown leaves surrounded by tiny blue flowers on a Slaters Patent lace textured background. It has brown handle, knob and spout. The spout is decorated with some tubelined pattern and the top rim has a green band below a hall marked silver rim.

Silver rim is hallmarked with an Anchor for Birmingham and “Z” for 1899. A multitude of impressed and incised marks on the underside.

A super original pottery jug made by the British firm, Myott Son & Co and dating to the mid 1930’s. It has an ovoid “water jug” shape with sweeping handle and spout and decorated with a hand painted orange, yellow, green and brown stylised flower burst geometric pattern on a honeyglaze ground.

Printed gilt factory mark on the underside together with pattern number 2683F.

A super original pottery jug made by the British firm, Crown Ducal and dating to the mid 1930’s. It has a squat shape with single split handle and no spout. It is decorated with a tubelined pattern known as Autumn Leaves or Falling Leaves designed by Charlotte Rhead. It has orange/brown leaves on a pale yellow/tan back ground with chequer pattern top rim.

Fully marked on the underside with Factory marks, designers signature and pattern number.
