Wilkinson’s Oriflamme

Wilkinson’s Oriflamme Ginger Jar – stock #11319

A super original British Art Pottery ginger jar and cover by Wilkinson’s from the Oriflamme range. This example feature with cloud like glazes in mauve, purple, red and yellow tones. The iside of the cover is glazed yellow with a lustre sheen. It is signed “B” on the underside for John Butler, their Art Director at this time.

It is unusual to still vase the cover intact.

Höglund Art Glass – Vase – stock #12019

A stuuning original contemporary studio art glass vase by the Höglund Art Glass studio from New Zealand. This exampled is a vase with a flat ovoid shape decorated in pulled looping patterns in mainly blue to green colours.

Höglund Art Glass is created by Ola and Marie Höglund their work is internationally renowned and sought after by both public and private collectors worldwide. They have exhibited in more than 40 international exhibitions in New Zealand, Australia, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, the US, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Dubai, Indonesia, Taipei and Japan.

From 1978 to 1981 Ola and Marie spent three years in Swaziland (Africa) establishing Ngwenya Glassblowing Studio as a Swedish government development project. In 1982 they moved to New Zealand, choosing to become citizens. Today they share their time between New Zealand and Australia.The success in 2000 led to the next prestigious invitation; to create the art glass for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games – The Games of the New Millennium. Ola and Marie designed a collection of bright and colourful art glass for this exciting event.

A Liberty & Co Egyptian Revival “Thebes” chair made in oak with dished seat and sweeping back. Probably designed by Leonard Wyburd (1865–1958) and made c1885-1890.

A similar chair was in the 2004 Liberty Arts & Crafts Selling Exhibition.

An unusual Thomas Webb Crystal fully cut glass vase decorated with a pattern of Lily flowers and leaves. Possibly designed by Anna Fogelberg.

Etched mark on the underside that was in use from c1936. Probable date of this example is either just pre war or just post war.
