A mid century modern Czech art glass vase made by Hermanova Hut and designed by Frantisek Vizner. Apparently known amoung collectors as the Tetris pattern. This is the larger 25cm high version in a clear glass.

PLUS Glass Norway

PLUS Glass Vase – stock #40219

An interesting mid centuru design art glass vase from the Norweigan makers at the PLUS Artist Colony. This example is a cylinder vase with flared top rim in a amber coloured glass. Designed by Richard Duborgh (born 1932) and produced during the 1960s. Etched studio pmark on the underside.

The PLUS Handcraft Centre was established in 1958 and located in Fredrikstad, Norway. The artist colony had workshops for weaving, textile printing, glass, silver, ceramics, woodwork and furniture. For more information – CLICK HERE

A large and impressive mid century modern design art glass vase made in multi coloured glass and worked into a spiral up to a wide flower form top.

No makers marks or labels. The designer/maker of this vase has not yey been identified. Most likely Venetian, made in Murano c1950/60. The designer and glassmaker have not been identifed.

These are pair of mid century modern design art glass candlestick made by Iittala Glass, Finland. They have hooped shape with a bark like textured pattern. From the Festivo range of candlesticks designed by Timo Sarpaneva. Understood to be pattern number 2665-080.

Presented in their original packaging and most likely dating to the mid 1970’s.

An impressive large Kosta Glasbruk art glass vase with a beaker form in a dusky blue colour. It is heavily made with thick walls and interally “optically ribbed” giving the illusion of banded colours.

Marked on the underside with a scratched shape/pattern number to confirm an atrribution to the designed Elish Bergh (1881-1954). Most likely dating to immediate post war period.

An unusal art glass vase by Whitefriars Glass from the New “Studio” Range of art wares designed by Peter Wheeler c1978. This example is vase shape number 9886 in a ruby red colour with internal blue random strapping and random bubble inclusion. Actually look dark purple.
