Transjö Hytta – Studio Glass Vase Dated 1983 – stock #67916

A super quality studio art glass vase/sculpture by Transjö Hytta from Sweden. It has an ovoid shape with an hour glass shaped purple coloured centre surround by a halo air bubble all within a clear glass outer layer. Fully signed on the underside and dated “83” making this a very early example of the studio’s work.

The Transjö Hytta glass studio was established in 1982 by two ex-Kosta Glass glassmakers; Jan-Erik Ritzman and Sven-Åke Carlsson.

Harrachov Glass Vase by Milan Metelak – stock #66616

A fine looking mid century modern art glass vase designed by Milan Metelak for the Czech / Bohemian glass maker, Harrachov. This example was designed in the late 1960’s and has a green within clear colourway and decorated with graduated bubbles with mica inclusions. Illustrated in on page 55 of the reference book “Hi Sklo Lo Sklo” by Mark Hill.

Excellent condition with only minor evidence of use.

A post war moderne design art glass vase designed by Bengt Edenfalk (1924-2016) for the Kosta glassworks. This example has a multi strand spiral with blue filaments within a clear straight sided shape. Signed on the underside “Kosta 48366 Edenfalk” and dates to the mid 1970s.

Skrdlovice Vase – stock #67316

An impressive mid century modern design art glass vase made by the Czech / Bohemian maker; Skrdlovice during the mid 1960’s. This example has pale blue colour within a very pale pinky tan coloured body decorated with hot work modelling.

Most likely designed by Jan Beranek as it is similr to a group of vases illustrated in the 1965 Czech Glass Review.
