A charming Victorian majolica pottery cream jug with a diamond shape embossed with ayellow flowers on a crimson glaze with basket effect borders. Branch handle. Pale Pink interior.

A finely made vintage studio pottery flower pot decorated with a pale slate coloured glaze with a white bands.

Made by David Frith (born 1943) probably at the Brookhouse Pottery.

Impressed personal “DF” seal mark.

Moulded shape number “7301” on the underside.

ART DECO Lady CANDLESTICK c1955

A pair of striking chrome plated candlesticks with kneeling ladies holder the candle sconce. A post war version of the art deco designs. The Lady is reminesant of the the Vargas Girls.

AESTHETIC Movement Art Pottery Vases

These are a pair of British Art Pottery vase decorated with crimson glazed tops and mottled multi-coloured running glazes.

Dating c1880-1890

Although unmarked – probably made by the Torquay Terracotta Co in Devon, who copied/acquired some the Dr Christopher Dresser patterns after Linthorpe Pottery closed.

Seen attributed to both Ault and Bretby.

No chips, cracks or restorations.
One has a pin hole in the glaze under the top rim – as made, not damage.
