Arts & Crafts Poker Work Casket c1900 – stock #46018

A Scottish arts and crafts wooden casket decorated with a chip carved and poker work design of Briar Roses and Rose Hip in the art nouveau style. Some of the original colour survive but not with gorgeoud muted tones. Period velvet lined interior.

Marked on the underside “Made in Scotland”. Artist is not named.

An impressive original art deco period and pattern Carlton Ware ewer decorated with the “sketching Bird” pattern variation 3907. This version has a mottled blue background and lustrous finish with gilded and enamelled pattern.

Printed and painted marks on the underide. Painted Order/Pattern numbers to indicate and 1930s date of production.

A delightful original Carlton Ware twin handle vase decorated with a trailing Grape Vine pattern of gold leaves with purple grapes on a pale yellow background. Highlighted with gilt decoration on the handles and rims.

Printed makers marks on the underside dating this to the post war period.

Art & Crafts Copper Vases c1910 – stock #38718

A good looking pair of copper arts and crafts vase with a foot cylinder form with flared top. Decorated with a design of a stylised leaves and flowers within double lined borders. Typical “Keswick” shape and construction.

These vases are not marked or signed, so certain attribution is not possible. The form suggests a “Keswick” connection, either unmarked Keswick School of Industrial Art, W H Mawson Keswick Home Industries or possibly Thomas Sparks’ Youghal Art Metal Works in Ireland.
