A large and impressive mid century modern design art glass vase made in multi coloured glass and worked into a spiral up to a wide flower form top.

No makers marks or labels. The designer/maker of this vase has not yey been identified. Most likely Venetian, made in Murano c1950/60. The designer and glassmaker have not been identifed.

A large Italian art pottery table lamp with a globular shape decorated with bright coloured glazes over a repeating impressed pattern. Most likely made by Bitossi c1970 and designed by Aldo Londi. These are more typically seen with the Rimini Blue glazes.

Presented with new wiring and will be PAT tested before sale.

A large Upchurch Pottery twin handled vase with a Romanesque amphora shape and decorated with a typical earthy mottled blue coloured glaze with all the usual pimples, misses and streaks – love it.

Painted numbers over incised script marks on the underside. Most likely dating to the 1930s.

A mid century modern deisgn studio pottery vase by the Celtic Pottery Newlyn. This example is a squat cylinder shaped vase decorated with the blue version of the “Medallion” pattern and dating to the early 1970’s. This pottery was run by Maggi Fisher with this pattern being designed by Ev Stevens.

G-Plan – Swivel Easy Chair – stock #25419

A bright orange vinyl covered mid century modern design easy lounge chair made by E Gomme G-Plan. A generous boucket like seat on cast aluminium swivel feet. Marked with both early and later G-Plan marks to suggest a c1960 date.

This item does not have upholstery safety labels so is sold for spares, repair or refurbishment and not for domestic use.

The condition is used – the webbing has broken. Vinyl is a little faded in places and worn on the seams. One scorch mark on the lower inside. Two foot pads are missing. – FOR restoration only.

PRESTON GUILD MERCHANT – Commemorative Mug – stock #39219

An interesting piece of social history relating to Preston in Lancashire. We are offering a bone china mug dated 1922 made to commemorate the Preston Guild Merchant being granted a Royal Charter by Henry II in 1180 !! It has pictuers of Mr Astley-Bell JP and Mrs Astley-Bell JP either side of a coat of arms and within a foliate garland. On the back is “1180-1922” within a foliate garland.
