Michael Andersen Stentøj – Pottery Vase – stock #12419

A post war modern design art pottery vase by Michael Anderseon Stentøj of Birnholm, Denmark. This example has a moulded design of styled Reindeer grazing. Glaze with mottled brown and tan colours. Marked on the underside with a shield together with a pattern of number 6405.

Michael Andersen Stentøj (Ceramics) was established in 1890 by Jens Michael Andersen (1859-1931) in Rønne, Bornholm, Denmark. From the mid 1950’s the design team was led by the artist Marianne Starck (1938-2007). This example most likely dates to this period.
