A fine looking post war modern design art glass vase with a winged form. It has a purple/brown within green within clear layered colourway in the Sommerso style and a bulbous shape and winged top.

No makers marks or labels. Designed by or in the style associated with Flavio Poli (1900-1984) and his work for Seguso.

A fine looking pair of post war modern design art glass vases designed by Bo Borgstrom for Aseda Glasbruk, Sweden. Each has a “bamboo” shape and coloured pale green with a clear base. These are the 15.5cm high version of the B5 pattern – possibly B5/79.

A charming (if you like snakes) post war modern lamp work vase in the form of a snake. Patterned with candy stripe canes in blue ornage white yellow and green within clear glass. Very finely blown and very light in weight.

Not makers marks or labels. These are often attributed to Bimini, Lauscha or Istvan Komaromy.Sold unattributed.

Isle of Wight Glass – AZURENE Blue BLACK – stock #44718

A good looking Isle of Wight studio glass vase designed by Michael Harris. It has a slender cylinder form with a blue black colourway gold abd silver foil inclusions. Understood to be called “Black Azurene”, although actually a dark inky blue colour.

Unusually it has both the impressed flame mark on the pontil and black triangle label to indicate a date of c1978/9

A lovely late 1920s period Carlton Ware art pottery vase decorated with the “Persian” pattern 2884 of figures on a mat under palm trees with distant temples. Multi coloured under gilding with an oily dark blue lustre glaze with a pearlescent lustre inside the top.

An impressive art deco design Carlton Ware bowl decorated with pattern number 3889, the Sketching Bird, on a Rouge Royale background. The pattern includes a large Heron flying in front of a gilt willow tree. decorated with multi coloured thick enamel coloured glazes.

Printed marks on the underside, including the “Rouge Royale” mark to date this to the mid 1950s.

Beranek Skrdlovice Glass – Petr Hora – stock #43018

An impressive mid century mordern design art glass vase made by the Czech Republic firm, Skrdlovice / Beranek and dating to the 1990s. This pattern was designed by Petr Hora (b1949) in 1983 with the range cylindrical and spherical vases and low bowl. Other colours include, green and amber with constrasting patterns.

It has an inner olive green core, cased in a thick layer of pale green glass. It has an internal white, green, yellow and black web decoration.
