An early 20th century silver plated copper jug with lid by W A S Benson & Co Ltd.

It has an arts and crafts meets art nouveau streamlined design with a cane covered handle and turned wooden lid finial.

Stamped marks on the underside.

The front is engraved with an armourial crest and latin script “AET MEA MESSIS ERIT”. Understood to be the creat and motto of The Rev. Sir Henry Lyttelton Lyster Denny, 7th Baronet of Tralee Castle, (1878-1953)

Size –
19cm high
10cm diameter
16cm wide including the handle

Marks –
Stamped on the underside.

Condition -Goodlooking item.
Some wear and scratches to the plating.
Several indents.
Cane on the handle has been replaced.
Vintage item with some but minimal evidence of use.
