A post war studio pottery wall plaque decorated in the medieval slip ware tradition with a pattern of flowers in a jug. Made from a rich coloured terracotta with dark brown trailing on an amber coloured back ground finished with a shiney glaze. Marked with a “MW” trailed monogram.
Attributed to the artist potter Mary Wondrausch OBE (1923-2016)
She was an artist, born in Chelsea, who trained at the Farnham School of Art and had a studio pottery at her home in Compton, Surrey.
