A post war design stainless steel decorative bowl with a “Hand Beaten” planished surface and decorated with a stylised floral design to the centre.

Made by the Lakeland Rural Industries in Borrowdale.

LRI seems to have been established in the early 1960s along the same lines as the Keswick School of Industrial Arts employing local workers. In 1962 it was bought by William Dennison (b1909) who also owned a forge in Cartmel. There exists, archive material from LRI dating from c1962 until 1974.
