Description
A Nigerian studio pottery tea pot marked “Kwara Arts Council” probably dating to the 1970s or early 1980s.
Hand thrown and glaze with an incised incription.
The shape and glazing reminds me of the wares made at the Pottery Training Centre Abuja. Established with the assistance of Michael Cardew and now known as the Dr Ladi Kwali Pottery.

Marks –
Incised “Kwara Arts Council” on the lid and around the pot.
Condition –
Well used.
Many firung blobs in the surface.
Rought around the edges of the lid and spout.
Small chip by the “A” on the lid.
NO breaks, cracks or restorations.
