Description
An early 20th century stein shaped mustard pot with pewter lid decorated with a moulded art nouveau jugendstil pattern in blue on a gray background.
Impressed numbers on the underside – 25 1869
No makers marks.
Reminds me of the steins made by German potters such as Rheinhold Merkelbach and Simon Peter Gerz. Possibly designed by Joseph Maria Olbrich or Peter Behrens.

Excellent. NO chips, cracks or restorations.
Vintage item with some but minimal evidence of use.
