Description

This is a larger than normal post war novelty model of comic Caveman or Troll made from teaky wood and fur.

He has a furry hairy head and body with wooden head , arms and legs. Arms are articulated.

Painted eyes and mouth.

Attributed to Sallingboe of Jelling Denmark and often described as being designed by Hans Bolling.

No makers marks found.

Condition –
Some evidence of use and wear.
Flaking to varnish on his head.
Wood looks dry and faded.
Fur is quite matted.
