Description

A lovely 19th century hand painted porcelain portait miniature of Beatrice Cenci after a painting by Guido Reni (1575-1642). The brush work on this version is very fine to suggest a quality maker. Possibly KPM Germany or Vienna.

Mounted in an oval wooden frame.

Not examined out of the frame.

Size –
15.5cm by 12.5cm – frame outside
11.5cm by 9cm – frame inner edge

Marks –
No visible makers marks or signatures.

Condition –
NO chips, cracks or restorations.
Some oxidisation (whitish bloom) to the background.
Frame has a chipped edge and repair.
Vintage item with some but minimal evidence of use.
