An arts and crafts design and period brass tray decorated with a chased pattern of blossom around a central motif.
It has an octagonal shape with folded corners and split tube edging. Very similar to the construction seen on items made at the Keswick School of Industrial Art.
This example is not marked or signed, so, not sure if it is an unsigned KSIA item or by a connected artisan. Suggestions include W H Mawson (Keswick), Thomas Smith (Youghal AMW) or Morecombe HEC.
33cm by 33cm
Most joint on the edge have split.
Deep indent towards one corner.
