An early 20th century pewter candlestick made by W H Haseler and designed by Archibald Knox ().
It is decorated with a moulded pattern of entwined Celtic knots on a large circular base with a plain tapering stick.
Stamped on the underside with the “SOLKETS” mark that was one of many using by Haseler on Knox designs. Apparently it is a contraction of the words “solitaires & lockets”, which were the companies staple products at this time, their “Trademark”. It is not clear whether this mark was used on the wares retailed by Liberty & Co as Tudric Pewter.
Stamped on the underside.
Presented bright polished as it was when new.
Small dent in the side of the stick and some wear and pitting on the base.
Probably missing a removable sconce.
