Welcome to my website devoted to British Art Pottery and Decorative Art and Design. From the Victorian Gothic Revival through the Aesthetic Movement and Arts & Crafts to Art Nouveau, Art Deco to post war Modernist design.

WAS Benson brass jug - like Liberty and Co. He had worked and designed for William Morris at Morris and Co. He is particularly remembered for his lighting schemes and domestic metal work. The domestic metal work was retailed by high class emporiums such as the Army and Navy Stores. His lighting can be seen at the National Trust Property Standen in Sussex, designed by Phillip Webb.
