An interest studio glass bowl/plate in the style of Monart or Graystan glass. A heavy weight with a tooled spirral pattern in pale greens and white colours within a clear outer layer.

Signed on the underside “TJS84” which I assume is the artist and date of creation. Together with an impressed studio makr in the pontil of a glassblower. Studio and artist remain unidentified.

JUST Denmark – Pewter Fish Dish – stock #20816

An attractive Danish art deco design pewter trinket dist decorated with a model of a goldfish. Made by the Just Andersen and most likely dating to c1930. Stamped mark on the underside together with pattern number 829B.

Ib Just Andersen (1884 – 1943) was a Danish artist/designer born in Greenland. He studied at the Danish Royal Academy for art and at the School of Danish Crafts. Early in his career he designed for designed for Georg Jensen, A. Michelsen and P. Hertz before opening his own workshop, Just Andersen Pewter, in 1918. He is best known for his neoclassic Scandinavian design of articles for everyday use in pewter, brass, copper, bronze and Disko.

SKLO UNION Art Glass VASE – ROSICE Glassworks Des Jan Schmid – stock #17516

A find quality mid century modern Czech art glass vase designed by Jan Schmid for the Rosice Glassworks, then part of the Sklo Union group of glassmakers. Pattern number 1032.

This a heavy moulded glass vase with deeply ribbed body creating an optical illusion of differents colours. This version is a more unusual amethyst purple colours.

This is a mid century modern Scandinavian influence art glass bowl by Whitefriars Glass. It is the typical “ruby” colour cased in clear. It has a triangular lobed form with a circular foot.

It is illustrated in the 1964 Whitefriars Glass catalogue as shape number 9516.
