A lovely late 1920s period Carlton Ware art pottery vase decorated with the “Persian” pattern 2884 of figures on a mat under palm trees with distant temples. Multi coloured under gilding with an oily dark blue lustre glaze with a pearlescent lustre inside the top.

An impressive art deco design Carlton Ware bowl decorated with pattern number 3889, the Sketching Bird, on a Rouge Royale background. The pattern includes a large Heron flying in front of a gilt willow tree. decorated with multi coloured thick enamel coloured glazes.

Printed marks on the underside, including the “Rouge Royale” mark to date this to the mid 1950s.

A early 20th century art pottery miniature ginger jar from the Ruskin Pottery dated 1913. This example is decorated with a hand painted garland of flowers and leaves under a yellow lustre glaze. Unusually, this pot still has it’s original factory paper label.

An early 1970s Langley Ware art pottery vase from the Soraya range designed by Glyn Colledge c1968. Hand painted decoration with stylised flowers and leaves below an ochre coloured neck.

Understood to be Vase shape number 330, 10inch version that had a list price of £2.85 in 1972. Illustrated on page 140 of “Langley Mills Pottery” by J&J Giblin.

A mid century modern design hand painted porcelain plate decorated with a busy modernist Scandinavian feel design of a girl within deep pattern borders.

Marked on the underside with a monogram and dated “65”. The artist is not currently known but the style reminds me of the work of Bjorn Wiimblad.
