An impressive mid century modern design Poole Pottery “Freeform” shape vase freehand painted with the “Contemporary” PLC pattern in white and black ovals on alternating mushroon, grey & slate coloured vertical panels.

This pattern is “PLC”, which was designed by Alfred Read and dates to the mid 1950’s on a 595 shape vase.

An impressive original art deco period jug decorated with a moulded pattern of Dick Turpin the Highwayman holding up a stage coach. Hand painted colours on a yellow background glaze. The yellow is slightly more yellow than the pictures.

An impressive art deco design Carlton Ware bowl decorated with pattern number 3889, the Sketching Bird, on a Rouge Royale background. The pattern includes a large Heron flying in front of a gilt willow tree. decorated with multi coloured thick enamel coloured glazes.

Printed marks on the underside, including the “Rouge Royale” mark to date this to the mid 1950s.

An early 1970s Langley Ware art pottery vase from the Soraya range designed by Glyn Colledge c1968. Hand painted decoration with stylised flowers and leaves below an ochre coloured neck.

Understood to be Vase shape number 330, 10inch version that had a list price of £2.85 in 1972. Illustrated on page 140 of “Langley Mills Pottery” by J&J Giblin.
