A great looking mid century modern design studio pottery table light by the Celtic Pottery Newlyn decorated with an unusual grey version of the popular medallion patttern. The Celtic Pottery was established by Maggi Fisher and Ev Stevens designer the “Medallion” pattern.

This lamp is presented wired and with a current PAT test.

A large Italian art pottery table lamp with a globular shape decorated with bright coloured glazes over a repeating impressed pattern. Most likely made by Bitossi c1970 and designed by Aldo Londi. These are more typically seen with the Rimini Blue glazes.

A large Upchurch Pottery twin handled vase with a Romanesque amphora shape and decorated with a typical earthy mottled blue coloured glaze with all the usual pimples, misses and streaks – love it.

Painted numbers over incised script marks on the underside. Most likely dating to the 1930s.

These are two fine ceramic models from the Keramikstudion Gustavsberg, Sweden. These models were designed by Paul Hoff (b1945) in the 1980s as part of the “Archipelago” series. Includes the male and chick “Coot”.

Larger bird is marked on the underside with makers and retailers marks.

An unusual Poole Pottery model of a racing yacht decorated with the C65 two tone glaze colurway of magnolia and shagreen. This design was probably designed by John Adams and modelled by Harry Brown c1937-38. It came in 4 differents sizes. This is the 25.5cm high version, the second biggest.

There are impressed and printed marks on the underside.

PRESTON GUILD MERCHANT – Commemorative Mug – stock #39219

An interesting piece of social history relating to Preston in Lancashire. We are offering a bone china mug dated 1922 made to commemorate the Preston Guild Merchant being granted a Royal Charter by Henry II in 1180 !! It has pictuers of Mr Astley-Bell JP and Mrs Astley-Bell JP either side of a coat of arms and within a foliate garland. On the back is “1180-1922” within a foliate garland.
