Glasgow School Brass Tray – Attr Margaret Gilmour – stock #31818

An early 20th century arts and crafts Glasgow School influence brass tray decorated with a repousse pattern of stylised Pomegranates and leaves in two panels. A quality tray with a neatly made construction c1905.

This example is unsiged but similat to examples attributed to the Glasgow School artist, Margaret Gilmour (1863-1942). Also similar to the trays used by the artist Marion Henderson Wilson (1869-1956).

An early 20th century Royal Doulton series ware plate from the Geo Moreland series. This example has a gentleman riding a horse within a pack of Fox Hounds Dogs.

Printed makers mark on the underside together with an impressed date of 10-02 for 1902.

Ruskin Art Pottery – Cup & Saucer

Ruskin Art Pottery – Cup & Saucer c1905 – stock #18018

An early William Howson Taylor Ruskin Pottery cup and saucer decorated with a mottled blue glaze with a band of hand painted leaves around the cup and saucer’s rims. Painted scissor mark on the cup and impressed WHT monogram on the saucer.

The impressed monogram was in use from c1901 until c1905 making this an early example. The cup shape and pattern was also produced after this date with different marks.

Loetz Witwe – Diana Ozone Ciselé Vase – stock #45717

A fine looking Loetz art glass vase dating to the c1900 with a tall onion shaped form with wide flat frilled top rim. Similar to the shapes designed for Max Emanuel, London and attributed to the designer, Dr Christopher Dresser. It has a pale blue glass with luminous and translucent spot green “Diana” spotted ground with matte iridescence coloured top rim. From a range of art glass called Diana Ozone Ciselé that was in production from c1899.

Unmarked – Hollow ground and polished pontil on the underside.

Loetz – Olympia Glatt Vase c1900 – stock #53017

A fine looking Loetz art glass vase dating to the c1900 with a simple cup shaped form with turn over top rim. It has a very pale green, luminous and translucent ground with matte iridescence colour. From a range of art glass called Olympia Glatt that was in production from c1896.

Unmarked – Hollow ground and polished pontil on the underside.
