Impressed. printed and painted marks on the underside suggest a date of c1895. Painted artist monograms for Margaret Aitken.

Wilkinson’s Oriflamme Ginger Jar – stock #11319

A super original British Art Pottery ginger jar and cover by Wilkinson’s from the Oriflamme range. This example feature with cloud like glazes in mauve, purple, red and yellow tones. The iside of the cover is glazed yellow with a lustre sheen. It is signed “B” on the underside for John Butler, their Art Director at this time.

It is unusual to still vase the cover intact.
