Boy & Dog – Art Pottery Figure

Boy & Dog – Art Pottery Figure c1930 – stock #21717

An adorable inter wars period art pottery figure of a seated boy with his terrier dog. It is hollow cast with hand finished detail decorated with hand painted pastel toned glazes. No definite signature -although hints can be seen within the textured finish on the plinth.

Very difficult to attribute this work to an artist. As it is hollow cast, it would suggest that it was part of an edition rather than a one off. Suggested artists include; Helen Florence Wickham (1884-1982), M Blyth or Gladys Mary Hibberd (Exhibited 1927-35)
