This firm of Regent Street retailers
were founded by Arthur Lasenby Liberty (1843 - 1917) selling fine quality
designer goods. Especially noted for their metalwork and jewellery. Including their Tudric and
Cymric ranges of pewter and silver.
Many respected manufacturers supplied Liberty, usually only
marked with a special back stamp, not showing the actual marker. Such suppliers
included C H Brannam, Verwood Pottery, Farnham Pottery, Moorcroft Pottery and
Clutha Glass. Designers associted with Liberty include; Archibald Knox, Oliver
Baker, Jessie Marion King and Rex Silver. |
