Manufacturers of glazed art pottery based in
Wortley, Yorkshire operating independently before 1889.
This example has a nicely thrown
ribbed form with shiny veined turquoise glaze. Impressed marks on the
underside "WORTLEY" together with a number 206, which suggests a large
range of shapes.
