Percy Metcalfe
(1895 - 1970)

He was a sculptor, medallist and stamp designer. Lived in Barnes, London.

Exhibited c1921 - 38;
Glasgow Institute of the fine Arts - 4
Royal Academy - 6

His works include the Irish Free State animal coins, the Great Seal and the 1937 twelve sided "thrift" three penny piece.

He designed pottery sculpture for Ashtead Potters Ltd, including Putti bookends, Orang-Utan and the series of toby jug of Political celebrities. Also the  Wembley Lion, Johnnie Walker jug and a model of his daughters head.

Marks - include signature in full on toby jugs.
