Donald Gilbert
1900 - 1961

He was a sculptor, born at Burcot, Worcester, son of the artist Walter Gilbert. He studied at the RA school winning bronze and silver medals, later at the Royal College of Art, Rome and in Florence. Lived in Birmingham, London and Pulborough, Sussex.

Supplied design for the Jungle Book figures made at the Ashtead Potters Ltd and designed for Bourne Denby. These included animal figures and vases. Some items signed.
