Farnham Pottery  from 1873


Established in 1873 by Absalom Harris at Clay Hill, Wrecclesham, Nr Farnham, Surrey. Art Pottery being produced c1880-1939 often in conjunction with the local Farnham School of Art where local artist W H Allen was art master.

They produced various figural works the most commonly encountered are the Owl jugs which were made in a large number of sizes and colours, including the Farnham green, blue and brown. this form was very similar to those produced at C H Brannam and Bourne Denby.

Marks - Often unmarked some with an incised cross and other with an impressed Harris mark.
