She was the daughter of the artist and engraver George Soper RA,
RE, RI (1870-1942) and sister of the artist and children's book illustrator
Eileen Soper (1905-1990)

Various art pottery hand modelled
figures have been seen. Including; a mouse, polar bear and the flower seller
shown left.
She also designed a series of bird
models for the Royal Worcester factory

George Soper - horse is about 7.5"
wide, 6" high and 3.5" . It is marked GS 1929 ENGLAND inside the base.

Known to have made a few pottery studies of horses usually
signed GS England He was a painter, etcher and wood engraver who specialised in
horses at working. Father of Eileen and Eva.
He was
elected an Associate member if the Royal Society of Painter-Etchers and
Engravers in 1918 and a full member in 1920.

She was the daughter of the artist and engraver George Soper
RA, RE, RI (1870-1942) and sister of Eva Soper. She worked as an artist,
engraver and illustrator of children's books and is best remembered for her
illustrations to all Enid Blyton's Famous Five book and
Illustrated and wrote many other books and contributed to such magazines and
periodicals as; Country Life, Countryman and Wildlife. Various art pottery hand modelled
figures have been seen. Including; seated young girls. She also produced design
for nursery china made by Paragon. She produced many charming black line engraving of children at
play. She exhibited extensively including at;
