Royal Cauldon – Cairo Ware “Copia” Bowl – stock #32918
A fine British art pottery bowl decorated with a hand painted floral and fruit cornucopia design in rich green, grey and mauve colours. Made by Royal Cauldon and from the “Cairo Ware” range of art wares made during the 1920s.
This example is decorated with the Copia pattern the “octagonal bowl 1” shape. Many of these pattern were designed by Frederick Rhead.
|Printed and painted marks on the undeside.
|No chips, cracks or restorations. Crazing to the glazes, slight glaze “miss” on top rim, a few white spots in the glaze and ground blob inside – SEE pictures.|
